Little Birdy is partnering with a growing CPG company in the luxury space to find an Area Sales Manager located in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will help develop the food service channel by securing new partnerships with, and working with management companies, distributors, chefs, and F&B managers. This role requires a strong and motivated candidate who is excited to get out in the field to reinforce and develop the brand presence. Working closely with the Head of Sales and Marketing, this person will help to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and drive revenue growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the East Coast team to define sales objectives, develop strategic plans for the food service channel (Hotels, corporate cafeterias, coffee stores, country clubs) on the West Coast.
- New Business Acquisition: Conduct weekly field visits (3-4 days) to current food service clients and prospects. Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including distributors, foodservice customers to expand The Company’s market presence.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, distributors, and industry partners to maximize sales and ensure customers’ satisfaction.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze sales data, track performance against targets, and provide regular reports and updates to the management team, highlighting areas of success and areas for improvement.
- Trade Shows and Events: Represent The Company at industry trade shows, events (demos), and networking opportunities to generate leads, increase brand visibility, and foster business partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or more in Business, Sales Management or related field
- Proven experience in business sales development, preferably within the food or beverage industry, or working with a premium product is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop sales strategies accordingly
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail ● Ability and desire to travel nationwide in the US
- Driving license mandatory
